The next Rock Creek Hills Citizens Association Meeting and Election will be on Tuesday October 18 at 7:30 PM at the Silver Creek Middle School Cafeteria. This is the first in person Association Meeting since February 18, 2020.

The agenda for the Meeting is:

  • Welcome and Announcements
  • Certification of Secretary’s Notes from the last Association Meeting on February 18, 2020.
  • Treasurer’s Report
  • Covenants Report
  • Report on Purple Line / Chevy Chase Lakes Status      – John Robinson
  • Announcement and Overview of Election including officers running for re-election
  • Floor Nominations for Rock Creek Hills Citizens Association Board
  • RCHCA Election and Certification of Results
  • New RCHCA Business from the Board and the Floor

To Vote in the Election: Households must be in Good Standing with RCHCA, meaning they have paid their 2022 Dues of $40 per household per year. Dues can be paid in advance online (per the RCHCA web site) or at the door prior to the meeting. Please check in at the desk to certify your good standing and to receive your voting card for the election. See the RCHCA web site https://rchca.org/ for more details.

All positions on the RCHCA Board are open for election to residents of households of Rock Creek Hills in Good Standing. However we are fortunate that our Vice-President – Anne Clawson, Treasurer – Mike Baker, and Secretary – Sudhir Shetty have all volunteered to run for reelection. We are seeking nominations for the position of RCHCA President. Interested candidates for any position should email the RCHCA Board at [email protected]. There will also be the opportunity for Floor Nominations for all positions at the meeting prior to the election.

Mike Baker will be updating us on the financial status of RCHCA – which is good! And John Robinson, Covenants Chair, will be updating us on the status of Building Requests pursuant to the Covenants for the last 30 months and on the status the Purple Line and Construction at Chevy Chase Lakes.

The Covenants have been an active topic of discussion on the RCHCA List Server. The Covenants were a key topic at our last in person meeting in 2020, as can be noted from the Minutes of that meeting at the following URL:  https://rchca.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/2020-02-18-DRAFT-Meeting-Minutes-RCHCA-DRAFT.RCHCA_.Feb2020.pdf

Also please mark your calendars for: Rock Creek Hills Halloween parade and party on Saturday, October 29th, 3-6pm!!!

We look forward to seeing everyone again in person on Tuesday October 18 at 7:30 pm at the Silver Creek Middle School Cafeteria!!!

Regards,

The RCHCA Board
